The Court therefore orders that in accordance with the powers contained in section 243 of 17 and 18 Vic: c. 104 the accused Kubata Kantaro, Sitaro Gotaro, Sira Inokichi, Mori Kubakro, Kumamoto, Shirasawa Fonyakichi and Janobi Markichi, be imprisoned and kept to hard labour for the period of ten weeks from this date and in one of Her Majesty's gaols at HongKong, that they forfeit all pay that may be due or may become due to them to the date of their discharge from prison

and that they be discharged from the ship's books at the expiration of their sentence of imprisonment. The pay forfeited to be retained by way of compensation to the owners of the steamship "Nanshan" to meet expenses which have been properly incurred in authorities.

And the said Court in accordance with the powers contained in section 245 of 17 and 18 Vic: c. 104 orders that the accused Tasuda be imprisoned and kept to hard labour for the period of twelve weeks from this date
